you can produce 120 single-sided or 60 dual-sided high-security
cards in only one hour. You can also network up to 6 printers to
run simultaneously, resulting in as many as 720 single-sided cards
per hour.

print colors at 300 dpi for unsurpassed print quality and clarity-
even on uneven card surfaces like those found on smart chips and
proximity cards. Additional print media includes CD ROM,laser, PET,
PVC and ABS cards.

Encoding Capabilities
One ID card can have multiple applications, such as access control,
time & attendance and cashless payment functionality- and these
applications can have varied encoding technologies. Whether printing
barcodes, magnetic stripes or smart chips, the IDX 380 prints and
encodes in one, single run. As a result, card production is streamlined,
cost efficiency is increased and printing errors are greatly reduced.
Enhanced Security and Durability
The IDX 380 enhances card security and durability through the ability
to laminate translucent holograms and rugged polyester patches on
both sides of the card. The printer itself also comes with password
protection to avoid unauthorized use.

The IDX 380 was designed with the end user in mind. Drop-in loading
for cartridges and film,a 300 card supply drawer that can be reloaded
during printing and color-coded display panels make the IDX 380
simple to operate by anyone in your organization.
Near Chip Printing
The IDX 380 is able to print images very close to the Chip edge.
In fact, designer does not need to concern the positioning of the
chip because the portion at the chip would not be printed anyway.
No border around the chip is required.
True Edge-to-Edge Printing
The IDX 380 offers brilliant images, superior color with exceptional
graphics & true edge-to-edge printing.
Uneven Surface Printing
The IDX 380 can print cards that are not even on the surface especially
for contactless chip cards where the chip inside the card body tends
to create a "hump" at that area. This is possible because
of the flexible silicon roller that is used to press the film onto
the card.
Multiple Printers on 1 PC
The IDX 380 uses SCSI-2 interface and hence you can cascade
up to 6 IDX 380 printers in one PC. Therefore, you can increase
the throughput from 120 cards per hour to 720 cards per hour, in
multiple of 120.
Large ribbon capacity
The IDX 380 has a bigger ribbon capacity of 1,000 cards per
roll and it's very easy to install and replace.
Lower Prnting Cost
Using IDX 380, the cost per print after about 20,000 prints
is actually lower than direct printer. This is because there is
no need to include print-head cost; there is no need to print another
overlay to protect the image because the film itself is the overlay
and a better one too. Less wastage because it provides wider tolerance
in printing less perfect materials and card types.
Print Unusual Cards
The IDX 380 is able to print other types of card with holes
or gaps are able to print. Examples are:
- The SIM card with plug-in
cutting for mobile phone.
- Thin cards like the thin plastic name card of thickness 0.25mm
- CDROM card, etc.
